    There's Something Spiritual in That

This summer I've been on a quiet sabbatical—not away from life, but away from the constant pull to do, produce, and keep moving.

In the slowing down, I've found myself returning to one simple question:

What does it really mean to live a spiritual life?

Not a life that looks spiritual from the outside, but one rooted in presence, connection, and love.

Three reflections have continued to find me.

The first is the gift of the pause. There is something deeply healing about sitting on the porch while it rains, listening to the wind through the trees, and feeling yourself settle into your own body. Every slow exhale reminds me that I already belong.

The second is the practice of becoming someone safe for yourself. Offering yourself grace. Celebrating your growth. Meeting your mistakes with compassion instead of criticism.

And the third is connection. Remembering that each of us carries something unique to offer the people around us. Our presence is part of the gift.

These reflections have become the heart of a new monthly series I'm calling There's Something Spiritual in That—a space to notice the sacred woven into ordinary life.

    This Month's Reflection

What is being drawn out of me in the pause and the silence... and can I meet it there?

Perhaps there is something spiritual in that.
